I have experience working with a wide variety of populations through many different fitness domains including weight loss, strength and conditioning, body building, athletic performance, injury prevention, wellness coaching, and endurance training. I have been involved in many sports throughout my life including: Football, Track, Wrestling, and MMA. I’m a firm believer in the saying “Practice What You Preach”. My lifestyle is oriented towards health & wellness, while keeping myself in shape and experimenting with new techniques on a regular basis. Fitness is a passion of mine, and the joy I get from seeing my clients and workout buddies improve continues to increase that passion regularly. Fitness is more than just improving your physique. It’s awesome to see and hear about the other positive things that stem from it such as: sleep, mood, energy levels, hormones, cognitive function, healthy relationships with food, preventing and sometimes reversing disease & overall well being on a daily basis.
Nutrition plays a HUGE part in reaching your fitness goals, even more so than the workouts themselves. I like helping my clients increase their knowledge on nutrition from a health standpoint, as I believe it should promote longevity. There is a lot of conflicting information out there on the internet, so I like to take small steps with my clients to help them reach their goals. You’re going to eat anyway, so why not just eat healthy?
I feel comfortable working with just about anyone. In the past I have worked with clients ages 12-82, all different shapes and sizes. I am extremely interested in working with athletes! I think the combination of resistance training and sport specific exercises can go a long way in improving performance on and off the playing field. I prioritize good techniques, and using each muscle group throughout their full range of motion.
